One, Come All!
As August approaches and the mercury keeps rising in the
thermometer, we hope you'll venture out and join us at the
upcoming Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Thursday,
August 14th. It is a great way to get to know the business people
and residents of Lakeland and find out about what's going on in
your city.
This month, our special guest is Cecil Tompkins who is
spearheading the new Lakeland phone directory project. He has
agreed to come share a progress report for the project and answer
any questions on the subject from our members. Chamber members are
encouraged to help participate in the preparation and publishing
of the directory. Come join us for a great networking opportunity
and learn how you can get involved in your community. Cost is $10
for members and non-members alike. Plus, if you bring a potential
new member with you and he or she decides to join, both of you get
your lunch FREE! (Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch?)

you're a LACOC member and you haven't already received your 2008
tag to hang on your member plaque, please be sure to pick it up at
the luncheon. New LACOC members will be able to pick up their
plaque and 2008 tag too. See Chris Perry at the meeting and he
will make sure you get whatever you're missing.
